The 6WIND Virtual Host Network Accelerator (vHNA) is designed to facilitate the cloud-native transformation of service providers’ networks. It provides routing capabilities at the host level of Kubernetes nodes, enhancing network security through finer-grained access controls and network segment isolation.

Delivering Performance in K8s Host Routing

The 6WIND vHNA bypasses the host kernel using SR-IOV to connect Kubernetes nodes to the switch fabric, optimizing performance.

It employs specialized CNIs to link vhost and veth interfaces to DPDK containers and the accelerated data plane, enhancing routing and data plane efficiency.
